    "How much gravel do I need for a 25 Gallon fish tank?"
    Generally speaking, around 1 pound of substrate per gallon of water for 1" depth is what you want to go for.
    If you need less we sell 5 and 10 pound increments!
    If you need a much larger quantity, just send us a message for pricing!
    As a typical recommentdation,
    with fish-keepers using a range of 1" to 2.5" for a fish-only tank. For a planted tank, you'll need an additional 1" nutrient layer below the sand or gravel
    Note: (Blue and white rocks in second picture are not included. Picture was provided for reference, but we do stock bagged blue and white rock in our bagged glass section of the store!)

    This media is completely inert and won’t release any harmful substances in an aquarium. In general, it is as sharp as any other sand, as hardness is important not sharp edges. It will not hurt your bottom-dwelling fish. In conclusion, the Black Fine sand is completely safe for fish tank use.
