The Nub Tools Collet Master Jaw System is for 6,8,10, and 12 inch CNC power chucks. A cost effective and efficient alternative to a standard collet chuck spindle nose that eliminates the need to remove your chuck from the machine. This system provides a positive stop-dead length for repeatable part lengths. Installation is as fast and easy as installing a set of soft jaws.The ability to go from working with standard jaws to running collets in just minutes will sky rocket your shop’s productivity.This amazing system is completely made in the USA from high grade materials. The collet housing is made from US heat treated 4140 alloy steel and the jaws are US 1018 CR steel that can be case hardened. The system comes with a beautiful black oxide finish.
Typical runout on 5C collet systems is .0008-.0015 tir above your collet’s factory runout tolerances. Typical runout on the 16C collet systems is .001-.002 tir above your collet’s factory runout tolerances. Your runout is dependent on the condition and quality of your chuck and collets. If your jaws have become damaged, worn and/or has chuck wear, a skim cut may be performed on the tapered jaw surface using the jaw boring anti-backlash plug provided.
